Re: Vibes for my parents' dog...
Sloppy bulldog vibes headed eastward. They may take awhile, 'cause they'll have to sleep 22 hours a day. :D Hopefully, mine will get there faster. We had a mini-schnauzer get pancreatitis, about the same age. She lived on to be 14, with no related issues other than we had to feed her special food. H...

Re: LTE 2.0
I'm planning on riding my bike to work tomorrow - 14 miles. I figure if I write it here, then I'll be more likely to remember, when I wake up tomorrow morning, that I told someone else my plan to ride my bike to work, and thus not bail out on it. I used to ride to work every single day in DC, for ab...

Re: Dreams, Goals, Wishes, Future Plans
I would like to start my own business, one that would serve a currently underserved population in some meaningful way, not only to help its customers but also the employees. (Oh, and would let me also spend a good three months every year travelling to the historic and/or the exotic.) Now I've just g...

Wow, Deadliest Catch actually ended on somewhat of a cliff-hanger. Weird. OK, DA. What happened? I have tried to look it up, and am having no luck. You can't just leave me hanging on this one. How is Northwestern doing? At least I know that it is ... OPIE SEASON!! Sorry Lavabe, didn't mean to cause...

Re: LTE 2.0
It's too quiet in here (again). Doubleyew Tee Eff? Oh no, are you following the internet trend of using acronyns as actual words? Soon, you'll be rofl-ing and lol-ling too. As long as you don't start saying things like, "nom nom nom." That phrase, implying the eating of tasty food, is making its wa...

Re: The Recipe Thread
I tried a recipe for blackened Salmon this weekend - turned out yummy. (Copper River is having a monster salmon run this year - you can probably get some fresh in your local grocery store just about anywhere in the US right now.) The seasoning: 2 tablespoons ground paprika 1 tablespoon ground cayenn...

By the way, once Hobart wins, will you be submitting Walter? He's a good-lookin' fella as well. ![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/4.gif)

Re: Favorite books?
I can't do a Top 10 but I'll post some favorites. Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice <snip> Oh, oh, oh just for you wilson and I really do love this book - read On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers - it's got pirates and zombies and get this pirate-zombies (and Blackbeard). So does this mean "Pride & Pre...

Not bundled - thank the EU for that. ;) You get it separately. I see you can download it, so then it is free for XP folks, but I've yet to run into anyone who has installed it voluntarily. That being said, I do like windows mail much better than OE. I've not played around with it tons, and since yo...

It didn't matter what the attachment was (Word docs, forwarded email, etc.). I've actually managed to fix things. I got tired of the problem and installed Window$ Live Mail and it worked fine. I then went into Safe Mode to delete some stuff that hadn't deleted properly (like anti virus programs) an...
