Re: Spring Game
We have theatre tix for a 2 PM show in Raleigh that day but I'd love come over for an hour or so prior to the game and have a bagel, biscuit and brew if anyone is gathering before kick-off.

Wait. Sue? Cooking? Do I sense a joke coming on? ;-) Miss you Sue. Glad to find a place to post again. Miles. Here. Making joke. About me. Thin ice. Lighten up Francis. ;) You know I would kill for you Jewish Soul Food!!! And don't call her "Francis" (reference to recent lemur discussion on the OTB...
Re: LTE 2.0
Wow, I have fallen far behind the current leaders, CB&B and colchar, but the day is still young and, after all, I am at the beach ;) .

Several of the regular posters on the "ymm, beer" thread on the "other" board have quite a fondness for a number of the Unibroue (sp?) offerings.colchar wrote:All this talk of beer makes me miss London more than ever. Some great beers over there. Oh well, at least I can console myself with rye...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
WOW! That sounds incredible, thanks for sharing your review. I've got a couple special bottles for tonight as well, but niether will top that. Great find. You need to be closer to Brunchgate country  I wish I was, although there is something fun about struggling to find Duke football on the ra...

Re: Nice board!
Hi everyone. I don't know most of you, but I know a few. Just wanted to drop in and wish you the best in this new board. I probably won't be very active here, but I'll likely lurk from time to time. I was a very active poster on DBR several years ago and left for pretty much the exact same reasons ...

Re: LTE 2.0
I hope they wouldn't. They encouraged us to play elsewhere, so I view it as mutual. We aren't looking to replicate DBR, there is a reason Our House has over 400 posts and The Stadium has under 25. We are here mostly because we are a community who enjoys posting about anything and are fans of Duke, ...
Re: LTE 2.0
HA! Kick ass! I'm so glad I found this site. Welcome! Nice to have you aboard. I wonder how many more of our brethren will be joining us over the next few days/weeks? Think the mods would pull any thread started on DBR announcing this house? :-) (Haven't been there consistently for a while) Doubt i...

CBB, you'll have to share some stock tips! :) This is my first post in the LTE. Woot. Has anyone invited Miles and Ymo yet? Miles, no, BUT, I think I saw a post from him on the "paying for the site thread." Ymo-I hinted to him about the site but not sure if he joined yet. Perhaps we should both sen...

Re: Paying for the website
Hope to see you next Saturday for a brief Brunchgate, to exchange a few beers and hand you a check to help with costs. If you end up with extra, so be it. Just brew a few extra ales and loan me one or two in the fall

Re: Ymm, Beer!
Founder's Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale, damn this is an excellent beer. Once again, boooo to the twist off cap, but what's under the hood is great. Pours with a slightly heavy body, white head on top of a brown ale. The malts are great, I taste a hint of chocolate and coffee. Higher alchohol notes in t...

Re: Ymm, Beer!
I can't go to bed without posting a couple reviews. I had three tonight, but only will touch on 2. The third was Eel River's California Blonde Ale, and it was ok, but not great. One day I'll find a blonde that is great. The other two I had are pretty damn tasty. Starting with Victory's Moong...
