Fuck it, I'm gonna go look at some tricks today.
Trucks. I meant trucks. I know a certain part of Winston-Salem where I could probably find some tricks doing their thing though.

Re: Ymm, Beer!

Anyone get their hands on the Yuengling Hershey's Chocolate Porter yet? I'm intrigued. I really enjoy the Yuengling Lager and Golden Pilsner as a cheap "cold beer" to have in the fridge.

Re: Ymm, Grilling

I'm with CBandB on the Pork Steaks. I'm with Bob on the ribeyes and the chicken breasts. Took me forever to figure out chicken breasts but now I can get them near perfect every time. Someday I'm going to get a smoker. Then I'm going to need someone to teach me. Dinner plans changed this evening. I ...

Re: Ymm, Beer!

The Veil - Deathless

5.5% Marzen

Thanks again, Richard!

Different. The Veil is different, but not in a bad way. A bit of a lingering bitterness that I have never had from a marzen. It will not win any awards for the style, but it was still very enjoyable. High Cat 2, would drink again.

Re: Ymm, Beer!

Wise Man Endless Measure Courtesy of RichadJackson 5.6% Marzen. This is a very well balanced Marzen. Some tend to be a little more malty (Foothills), but they nailed this one. Wise Man has yet to disappoint. Very high h Cat 2, maybe creeping in to Cat 3 for the style. I believe I still prefer Highla...

Re: Ymm, Beer!

Another first for me, this time from Ardent - Sweet Potato & Sage Saison. Thanks RJ! I love a good saison, and this is one unlike any I have ever had. More sage spice taste and aroma than sweet potato, which is fine for me. I was afraid it may have been a bit too cloying, but thankfully it wasn't. V...

Re: Ymm, Beer!

Shout out to Richard for bringing over some world class brews to celebrate amusedcupcake's birthday over the weekend. Beer #1, and my first Veil beer, Never Never Forever Forever. I'm not sure what you would consider this, and I do not believe this is a BJCP style, but I'm going to call it a milksha...

Re: Ymm, Grilling

tuna steaks salmon Fish on the grill is outstanding but a word of caution on tuna steaks. Do not overcook them. Tuna steaks are best cooked medium rare. Actually, tuna is great raw. Break out the wasabi and soy sauce and let the party start. Fish/seafood are the only things I don't eat, so I won't ...

Re: Ymm, Grilling

A thought on charcoal, have your standard briquettes, and also have a bag of lump hardwood charcoal. When you want/need a high heat, like over 500 degrees for a really good sear, the lump charcoal is a requirement. You can simply add it to your already existing fire when you need to raise the temp....
