Re: Resolution before congress...
Can you spell "bipartisanship?" This may be the only resolution/bill/whatever that can pass Congress! And, by the way, the Charlotte Observer gave little...as in VERY little....coverage of the Duke championship as opposed to endless pictures and articles when the tarholes won in 2009. Now isn't THAT...

Re: Basketball graduation rates
I have the entire article on graduation stats from the Washington Post, but I can't post it. Every time I post it I get a General Error message. If anyone is interested in the article, please tell me how to post it!!!!

Re: Basketball graduation rates
The following was part of an article in the Washington Post during the 2010 Final four "run." That's the best I can do for right now, but I think the figures are pretty accurate. Among the No. 1 seeds, Duke has a 92 percent graduation success rate, followed by Kansas (73 percent), Syracuse (55 perce...

Re: Duke University, 2010 NCAA Champions!
I am delighted that Duke won...that goes without saying...but I am pleased that Butler proved to be a worthy opponent. The Bulldogs played with poise and class and without the ongoing smirks that both Baylor and West Virginia had on their thug-like mugs during the game. I, for one, have a great deal...

Re: What is your opinion of Bob Huggins?
What do I think of Huggy? That's the question, huh? Well, I am too much of a lady to put my thoughts into "print," so you'll just have to use your imagination. Anyone whose team is a farm team for the NBA and not STUDENT athletes, goes down in MY book as a scumbag. I taught college kids. I had one s...

Aha! Now we get the connection and we "see" the difference between a mountain mama and a mountain mullah....or is there a difference? With Huggy as the coach....hummmmmmm, I'm thinking!!!

Shave the chin hair? Nah...grow a full beard. Look what the beard did for Zoubek! Kyle will be fine. He reminded me of Laettner in the 1992 Final Four. Christian couldn't hit the back side of the proverbial barn in the first half. Then he came roaring back in the second. I guess it would be a tiny s...

Re: Lavin and ESPN (I'm a little surprised)
When you get "through" with Lavin, how 'bout taking on Clark Kellogg and his obvious bias FOR Baylor and his almost total silence when Duke pulled ahead. Talking heads? I am too much of a lady to call them what they really are! Seems as if they're paid by the word and they don't care what words they...

Re: Final Four
I recycled my 1994 Charlotte Final Four tee shirt this morning when I worked out at the YMCA. It served a useful purpose and garnered positive comments from some...and others ignored it. Strange how the tarhole tee shirts have disappeared, isn't it?!!!

Re: WV over UK (add to the story)....
Excellent poetry! Coming home from a party last night...had to sit in the garage to listen to the final "minute" which took about five minutes.... I am thinking, "Are the Wildcats gonna pull this one out....again?" WVA blew a 14-point lead.......NO! But the third #1 seed "to go down" makes me nervou...

Re: NCAA Expansion - If you HAD to vote...
I am not in favor of expanding the NCAA beyond the number of teams it now has. If an expansion to 96, why not to 192? And then why not include everyone who has a team? Nope...count me in the NO expansion group.

Re: Duke Vs the NCAA (Bracket Challenge)
Lean real close to your computers because I do NOT want this to "get out" beyond our elite group, but there are tarhole fans in this great hotbed of tarholeness in which I live who are now rooting for Duke to win the championship. That MAY be the "kiss of death," so let's keep this little secret amo...

Re: NIT Discussion
The refs for UConn were the same refs Duke had against Miami in the ACC tournament. Okay, so I can't prove that, but the calls sho' nuff reminded me of the incompetent refs who tried to give the game to Miami. (And when I watched the tape again last night, the calls were just as bad as when we saw t...
