Re: Spring Practice - What interest you most?
I am interested in two areas. First, is continued progress on the offensive line. This is an area which has shown dramatic improvement in the Coach Cut era, but we still need better run blocking. In order to make the next step and become a team capable of posting a winning record, we must run the ba...

Re: Who BeDeviled the boxscore against Miami?
I voted for Ryan Kelly. His jumpers from around the free throw line was a text book demonstration on how to beat the 2-3 zone.

Re: 2012 prospect picks Duke
We need to sign a big man in 2012. Either Tony Parker or Kaleb Tarczewski would be great. Scout ranks Parker as the #39 prospect and Tarczewski as the #9.

Re: NC State game
Earlier today I posted on an email group that I thought the game would be closer than the 19.5 points Vegas has us favored. With the news C.J. Leslie has been suspended, :violin: if I was in Vegas right now, I would put money on Duke to cover the spread. I hope we focus on dumping the ball inside an...

Re: Duke @ St. John's
Las Vegas has us favored by 8.5 points and Ken Pomeroy predicts a 10 point Duke victory (77-67). http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-basketball/teams/team-page.cfm/team/duke http://www.kenpom.com/team.php?team=Duke The over/under is 143 so that equates to a final score of 76-67 so Las Vegas and Ken ...

Re: Who BeDeviled the boxscore against BC?
I voted for Seth, but Mason would've been just as good a choice. As I stated in Chat, Mason is developing into a dominant rebounding force. The one thing I desire to see more of is the outlet pass. Mason needs to fuel the break by kicking those rebounds down the court expeditiously.

Duke @ St. John's
Is anyone else a bit nervous about this game? I'm slightly apprehensive St. John's will come out with high emotion and intensity and jump all over us early. We've struggled offensively at the beginning of several games recently so I really desire to see us come out hot on Sunday! Go Duke! Stomp Stev...

Re: @Wake on Saturday
He said there were decisions they could've made this season that would gain victories for now, but it would compromise the integrity of the program and might cost in the long term. He also listed Duke as an example of the type of program they want to build for Wake Forest. It was a definite damage ...
Re: RPI info
Realistically, predict the number of losses we get before the ACCT. Two: @ St. John's and @ Virginia Tech. We finish the regular season at 28-3. I hope I'm wrong about the St. John's game as I really do not want to lose to any Big East team. I think we beat UNC in Chapel Hill because they should ha...
Re: RPI info
It's interesting that our highest rated remaining foe is St. John's at 15. Many Duke fans have been complaining about the St. John's game for years as not being a challenge and wishing it would go away. The same for Temple. Temple at 37 is rated higher than all our remaining ACC foes except UNC (22)...

CAVEAT:
While I'm predicting Carolina will lose 7 more games this season, Ken Pomeroy predicts they will lose 4 more times. I know this will shock everyone, but Pomeroy has a better track record than I do.

Re: Dear Carolina
Carolina's next six games could break (or make) their season: @ Miami NCSU @ Boston College Florida State @ Duke @ Clemson I can make a case for them losing all six of those games and if that happens (highly unlikely) it will be lights out for the Tar Heels. I've watched a lot of Carolina games and ...

Re: @Wake on Saturday
I really hope the team is grounded and plays with emotion at Wake Forest. The general suckitude of the *emon *eacons has me worried the team will come out flat and struggle early. We need to be ready to play and blow the doors off of Wake from the opening tip to the final buzzer. GT held Wake to 39 ...

Re: Who BeDeviled the Boxscore against UVA?
I also voted for Dawkins. His 3-pointers in the 2nd half were daggers into Virginia's heart. Dawkins is our third leading scorer at 11.7 points per game. I'd like to see him up his scoring to 15 or 16 points a game. We need Smith Singler and Dawkins all scoring 15+ points each game. With Dawkins sco...

Perhaps Tyler Brown or Zeek Bigger as true freshman come in and make an impact, ... Great post and I'll comment more later once I've digested all you said; however, just wanted to reply and let you know Zeek Bigger has de-committed and will be attending East Carolina. We are down to 20 commits so h...

Re: Offense vs. Defense - Who was bigger underachiever?
I would agree that the defense was a bigger problem, but I was expecting it to be the problem. How about next year? What is your opinion on the prospects for improved performance on the defensive side of the ball? I'm concerned we may be in for more of the same. Also, special teams play needs to ma...

Re: Duke vs. Virginia
Here are my final pregame thoughts (unless I decide to pontificate in pre-game chat) :D : We need our interior players to step up their game against the Wahoos! Mason Plumlee leads Duke in rebounds and is tied for fifth in the ACC at 8 per game (128 total rebounds). He had 14 against FSU with four b...
