Re: Happy Birthday Devil84!
Do un-birthdays make you look younger? If Devil84 looked any younger, her kids' friends would all be hitting on her! Well, they probably are anyway! B-) :ymblushing: Thanks, Ozzie!! Fortunately, my kids' friends aren't hitting on me...but we do enjoy hanging out with each other. They keep me young....

Re: Happy Birthday Devil84!
*blushes* Why thank y'all for all the lovely birthday wishes! Now I see the error of my data entry...I entered 7/2, thinking it was Month/Day, not Day/Month!! And please forgive me for being so delinquent in reading the boards. Cathy brought the thread to my attention -- 2/7 was about the time I was...

Re: How do you like your eggs?
Mostly, I like them in their shell in the fridge...
Unless they're deviled, Benedicted, or in cake batter or cookie dough. Or "eggs in a baggie" on a Girl Scout camping trip.
Regarding the egg on the burger thing, that's the specialty of the house at Sunset Grille, owned and run by Marty Nessley.

Re: Letterboxing
It's something I'd really like to try. I've been wanting to do this for years...couldn't interest my Girl Scout troop, nor my family. Looks like fun! There are a lot of places to do this in the Triangle.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Does anybody here do letterboxing?
I'd also like to try geocaching, too.

I took a picture of it. (This doesn't like my IMG link, so I'll just leave it as a URL: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=7086427&l=3f721371c5&id=623805602 ) I'm now more afraid of why the snake was in the band room -- just what would lure a snake in there? ***shudder*** Your snake looks just l...

Re: Bojangle's Chicken (sort of)
So when the chicken went on sale last week, I bought a bunch. I do this alot if I see good deals on meat. I wish I had a chest freezer. I figure we'll eat it one day, and might as well save $ in the long run. I love my chest freezer! Whenever there's a buy one get one free sale, I'll always freeze ...

Bojangle's Chicken (sort of)
I really like using recipes as a list of suggestions, particularly when I’m making “copy cat” recipes. I also like making unusual recipes (unusual at least, for my family). So when the chicken went on sale last week, I bought a bunch. I had wanted to try buttermilk brined chicken, so into the baggie...

As she opened the door, Squiggly fell on her head and shoulders... And if that were me, you could complete the sentence thusly: "...and her blood-curdling scream was heard throughout the subdivision before she passed out from sheer fright." I'm with CathyCA on this one! Though I'm also with CB&B on...

Re: Happy Birthday Devil84!
Hi y'all! Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! :ymparty: :) It's been a great day. Mom and sister-in-law took me shopping and we had a great lunch together. Then hubby and son took me to Red Lobster for dinner. We're now attempting to digest an inordinate number of yummy Cheddar Bay Biscui...

Re: devildeac's great adventure-warning: graphic content!
Best of luck tomorrow, Devildeac! For those of you "of a certain age," this is not something to put off! I went in 4 years "early" thanks to a family history -- and they found polyps. And the "prize" for that is to repeat after 3 months! Two colonoscopies in three months is even MORE FUN. The good n...

Re: Indoor Camping
Yeah, well, I live with a well in the docks of boon. The very idea of power going out makes me feel ill. Camping indoors is not sexy. Sorry. Of COURSE camping in the house when you lose power, particularly if all your utilities depend on power, isn't exactly the sexiest thing. I'll give you that on...

Re: Giving Up Vices
Oh...I took no offense at all!! In fact, your answer is the reason why these are all related vices! Fine meal, fine wine, fine....well, not into the smoking thing here. I've had family with addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, and eating. One relative kicked both alcohol and cigarettes -- pretty amazi...

Re: Indoor Camping
Camping indoors is fun! Required when power goes out, or the upstairs AC unit goes out and downstairs still works. But it's fun! Start with your significant other when the relationship is young...then we became newlyweds. Still fun! After few years, you "camp" with the kids, getting them used to the...

Well come to the nut house devil84! :ymhug: :ymhug: :ymhug: :ymhug: :ymhug: :ymhug: OMG! I totally spelled "welcome" incorrectly. Thank you for not pointing that out ladies. ;) Actually, I thought you left out a comma, as in "Well, come to the nut house," meaning, "It's about darn time you wandered...

Re: Giving Up Vices
Obesity, hands down. You don't need to smoke to live. I've never smoked, so I can't speak to nicotine addiction -- but if you make the choice, you can put yourself in a position to not be near smoking products ever again in your life. You don't need to drink to live. I've never been an alcoholic, bu...
