Re: Brunchgate 10/24 Edition: Social Comments
It was so much fun to hang out with everyone today. Thanks to all for wonderful contributions. I'm so tired and my feet are prunes from being in wet tennis shoes all day, but what fun to watch a good win at WW and then again at Cameron. On to the next game! Everyone have a marvelous remainder of the...

Re: Brunchgate 10/24 Edition: Planning and Attendance
well ok then. put me down for devilled eggs! :) As much as I think they'd look good, I don't think I'd make them BLUE deviled eggs. ;) :D Attention, everyone. shereec is actually not bringing deviled eggs. So just don't waste your time looking for them. No deviled eggs to be seen at Brunchgate. No ...

I'll be coming with Miles, but don't have a clue what to contribute. Deviled eggs just popped into my head. Does that work?

Re: Vibes for good friends
I, too, am sending good vibes to your friends and so glad to hear that they are all safe. Some friends of mine also lost their house and all possessions several years ago, but were fortunate to get everyone out, including the cat. Friends, family and community rallied round and helped them through t...

Miles, Sorry to be late to the party here, too. You've already gotten good advice from these fine folks, so I just want to remind you that the door is always open, a cold beverage with your name on it awaits, and my philosophy major hubby has a wide range of relevant (or maybe not-so-relevant) point...

Re: Brunchgate 9-26 edition
I hate to miss you all today. My husband is riding in the Cycle North Carolina so we're leaving this morning for Blowing Rock, where the ride starts. I'll be trying to find the game on the radio and wearing Duke gear, but I hope you'll all add a bit of volume during the game for me.

Re: Brunchgate, 9/5 Edition
I had a great time at Bruchgate, too. It was so nice to meet so many of you and I thank you for the hospitality and the wonderful food! Miles asked me to tell you all hello - sadly his text didn't come through until after we'd left to go trade out our tailgating stuff for stadium seats. He said they...

shereec and company here at brunchgate. The band is just walking past on their way to start the Devil Walk. What a lively bunch here under the tent - this is the first time I've met the crazietalkers. A lot of very nice folks.

shereec +2 (sister and nephew) we'll bring fruit to go with the pound cake and I guess snacks of the pre-packaged sort (bags of chips or something). perhaps sandwich fixings that we know the 16 year old will like.

Re: Telemarketer phone call this morning
It really bugs me when people call me to solicit business, and then screw up the pronunciation of my name. I can kind of understand the whole sex thing, my first name is unusual, but I find a lot of people think I'm a guy until they find out I am a girl. When a solicitor calls and screws up the pro...

I'm much more of a reader than poster, but I really couldn't let this thread go. This is in response to a). My husband had a list of "when I retire" goals that included driving across the country. He was gone for about a month and when he returned, he gave me a cookbook (we're both suckers for cookb...

Or I would have held my index finger and thumb indicating some of his parts are only an inch big. That's my version of the bird. Kind of makes me feel like I've insulted the person, but they don't know it. I frequently do this in traffic. Using vehicles as weapons is compensation for SOMEthing. And...

Hi Shereec! How's Miles? Have you seen him yet? His folks must be happy. :D Oops - I had no intention of being rude (taking so long to respond), just working a crazy schedule. Clearly I haven't worked hard enough on developing a crazietalk habit yet... Hi, Sue! We did get to hang out some with Mile...
