Wasn’t able to watch the game last night because of choir practice. When I checked my FB feed, the first post I saw about the game was CathyCA’s. That let me know I didn’t need to waste any time watching it. Went straight to bed.

I've been using a 20" flat screen monitor with my desktop computer for ~10 years. Pretty big at the time. I bought it with my previous desktop that was replaced about 2 years ago, and it works/worked fine. I actually bought that computer and monitor at the Tiger Direct store in Raleigh, and that's been closed for several years. I've been thinking about replacing it with a 24" monitor for, well, a while. Bigger is better, right? (Hush, stop giggling! :ymblushing: ) Been watching the email ads from Tiger Direct, looking at Costco and other places, but resisted the purchase. Then earlier this week, Tiger Direct advertised a 27" HP monitor for only $119.99, just a bit more than the ads for the 24" monitors I'd been ogling. I bought it, and it arrived yesterday.

WOW! You have no idea how big a 27 incher is on your desk until you have it! I actually had to move it back a couple of inches on the desktop, or roll back away in my chair, so I wasn't sitting too close to it. Almost like getting a TV too big for the room. OK, that can't really happen, unless you're watching in a closet....

I just had a happy surprise. In 1998, I prosecuted a guy who shot a 17 year old, execution-style, behind the left ear. Amazingly, the young man survived and, though he has deficits, is a walking miracle. He came to see me with his dad. He brought me a thank you card and a completed jigsaw puzzle. Said I had helped him put the pieces of his life back together.

It’s a little dusty in here today....

Doesn't this post belong in the "you can't make this stuff up" thread? What a lovely gesture of gratitude!

Good work, Counselor!
