Presidential Debate Chat (Now Election Day Chat)

Post by CameronBornAndBred » September 28th, 2020, 5:39 pm

We did this back in 2016, and I'm up for it again. Tech has changed a lot since then, though!

Meaning that many of us are streaming now, and not watching "live". So with that in mind, it would be nice if you find a way to stream and chat.
Hearing "Touchdown" a minute before Duke gets scored on again sucks, so I'm trying to avoid that with the debates knowing that everyone can stream this. There might be a few seconds dif between us, but mostly, we'll be on the same page.

As always with all Section 21 sessions, just pick a username, and leave the password blank.

First debate is tomorrow night (9/29) at 9PM

Here's a few ways to stream it.

Great idea! Thanks CBB!

Thanks to all that signed in tonight, you helped keep the sanity.

Next debate is Pence/Harris, that one will likely be a snoozefest by comparison.
In any other year, it would be Must See TV.
(And it should be. Hope to see as many in Section 21 for that one...might be the only debate we have again.)

Thanks for hosting, sorry I missed the whole thing. Taped it but it sounds like the train wreck we all could see coming.

A reminder since the Veeps go at it tomorrow night.
At least this one should be sane.

Same as before, keep in mind that many/most of us may be streaming, so stream on a laptop or tablet if you can help it if your TV signal is live.

Last debate, while absolutely batshit crazy, was fun and we had a great crowd. Hoping Pence/Harris is more of the same, but with less mental guano.

As always, just type in a username and leave the password blank.

Bumping this back up since Thursday night's debate will likely be full of batshit crazy just like the first one was.

Yep! And unless you are OPK, chatbot might let you stay in the room for a while. (Chatbot hates OPK)

Put in any username you want, leave the password blank.

You can say fuck in chat, too. And during the debate, or while watching Chase Brice miss a wide open receiver, you probably will.

Chat was a blast last time - thanks for hosting! It was nice being able to freely express my thoughts in real time and appreciated everyone else's interesting and/or funny thoughts. Not sure if I will be able to join again - older CNC son wants to watch the Giants game with me, and I'm not sure which will be more traumatizing for both of us. Like me, he thrives on rules, order and appropriate behavior so Trump triggers his anxiety. Though the way the Giants have been playing this year, they have often had the same effect.

Oooh, didn't realize DJ would be on. I'll DVR that one, and watch debate live. I wonder who will fumble more...Jones, Biden, or Trump?

I thought this was the thread where you told people what you’d rather do than be subjected to their opinions. =))

I’m chugging a beer every time Trump mentions Hinter Biden, and doing a shot of tequila every time Biden says “here’s the deal.”

I took tomorrow off.

Have you pre-emptively called 911 to show up at your house around 9:15?

Will be sending good vibes for surviving tonight.

As an aside, not that it’s on the market anymore, Zantac 150 is a hangover prevention. Stop drinking, take a Zantac 150, no hangover.

Field tested.

In-chat drinking games? I'm in. I'm technically unemployed so not a problem if I have to sleep in. I just need to blow some leaves at some point tomorrow.
