Prophetmaker (draft)-Burial Beer Company

Sipped at their Forestry Camp location

Style-dry hopped pale ale
Format-fresh from the tap
Glassware-pint cylinder
Appearance-mildly cloudy, sunshiney and smallish, offwhite head
Nose-grapefruit juice and pith
Mouthfeel-juicy and bitter
Tastes-grapefruit juice and rind, splash of OJ and a twist of orange zest and a few drops of white wine
Hops-Citra, Nelson and Simcoe
IBU-maybe 30 (based on recall from many Sierra Nevada Pale Ales back in the days)
ABV-5.3%
Overall impression-solid pairing with a Tuesday night burger special
Ymm, Beer rating-don’t drink many pale ales but this was quality stuff and earned a low cat 3

Style-smoothie style sour ale (another brewery lie :innocent:)
Format-pint can, no sharing
Glassware-large tumbler
Appearance-a green smoothie; no head
Nose-kiwi and lime
Mouthfeel-thick and sticky
Tastes-lime sorbet, lime zest, lots and lots of kiwi and a drop or two of Coco Lopez
Adjuncts-kiwis, limes, coconut and lactose
IBU-not important
ABV-6%
Overall impression-coconut is tough to pull off in beer and this coulda used a bit more but the kiwi and lime were excellent

Style-flavored sour
Format-half quart aluminum cylinder
Stemware-large wine glass
Appearance-berry smoothie; little foam
Nose-Double Bubble chewing gum
Mouthfeel-tart with a slightly warm finish
Tastes-strawberry bubble gum, half and half and very mild heat at the finish
Adjuncts-“copious amounts of strawberry tart bubble gum, roasted ghost pepper and lactose” (WTF? :flushed:)
IBU-maybe 10
ABV-6%
Overall impression-gotta admit that I was highly wary of this product but found the combination intriguing and only slightly warming
Ymm, Beer rating-a surprising low cat 3 given the expectation of disaster in a can/glass

Mouthfeel-warm and sexy
Tastes-bourbon, toffee, raisins, bourbon, dates, bourbon, figs, bourbon, wood, vanilla (not added)

Months-25 (no typo)
IBU-maybe 30
ABV-14.6% :flushed:
Overall impression-easily gonna be one of my top beers of 2024
Ymm, Beer rating-high cat 3; this rivals the BBA 2009 (?) North Coast Old Stock Ale that I shared at a tailgate about 10 years ago, one of my top 10 beers of all time

Tastes-coconut and zingy cinnamon latte
Adjuncts-coffee, toasted coconut, Chinese cinnamon and surprisingly, lactose
IBU-maybe mid 30s
ABV-a lightweight at only 8.9% :joystick:
Overall impression-quite the interesting sipper for an hour
