Okra is a good thing. I froze a lot from last year, we still have plenty. We had some last night.

My garden is dwindling with the noted exception of okra and Asian Long Beans both of which love the heat. Here is my morning harvest of beans. I get this many every other or every third day. The vines remain loaded:

For those with a garden, if you desire some Asian Long Bean seeds, let me know as I will have plenty to share. They need to grow on a trellis.

I had one tomato plant which was enough for sandwiches, and one container of mint which was enough for mojitos. IMHO anything else is overkill. The tomatoes are about done for the eyar - the mint is threatening to take over the entire community of Mebane.

I'll take a couple clay pots of mint nest Saturday. I'm craving some mint juleps.

Time to revive this discussion. I planted 40 okra seeds yesterday and four bell pepper starter plants yesterday. Tomatoes (4) and squash (3) plants went in last weekend. I'm planting Asian long beans and pole butter beans in front of my two trellis later today.

The late cold weather has me off to a late start.
