Drink Scotch Whiskey all night long...

Post by windsor » February 5th, 2014, 11:17 am

I just was gifted some Pine Barrens single malt - distilled on Long freakin' Island NY.

Oh. My. God. Easily stands up to best of the Scottish single malts. What a nice scotch!

Any other fans of good Scotch? My personal preference is for the single malts...

<a wine post, a coffee post and a scotch post....do I see a trend today?>

I'm a scotch and water on the rocks girl. I just cannot take is straight and enjoy it, but with the water and ice I can.

Jameson is my preferred whiskey/scotch.

Never let it be said about me that I won't try something new. Been a Kentucky Bourbon on the rocks girl for years, but hey -- time's running out and I don't want to miss a thing. I'll give the Piney stuff a try next time I'm out on the prowl.

Sorry Mom, but if that stuff is made in the US it isn't Scotch. By law, in order to be Scotch it must be made in Scotland and must be made in a certain way. Anything that doesn't meet those two criteria isn't Scotch.

They just market it as Pine Barrens single malt. No mention os Scotch in the marketing of it. I guess it is like champagne, which can onlly be produced in a region in France

Well we will get the good ol' boys to quick selling them our whiskey barrels.

That will fix them.
