Entertained by a pro se defendant this morning who set himself a jury trial next week. Argued for an hour with the judge. Requested the court declare a mistrial. Judge asked, "sir, how can I declare a mistrial when we haven't even started a trial yet?"

It's coworker Emily's case, and she suggested I wear socks appropriate to the occasion, so today's socks have bats. Because this guy is bat shit crazy. (I remember him as a defendant in Patrick County in 1995, and he was well-known in the courthouse even then).

Not sure where to put this. Calipari does not deserve his own thread here, and it doesn't have anything to do with the sheep losing.
