Heck yeah! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that Ol' Roy and Butch will decide to take an extended vacation to somewhere very far away, perhaps Madagascar, and never be heard from again.

Strike that.

I hope Butch leaves and Roy stays. I like this new Carolina team!
yes, this new carolina team is doing just great, imo. fun, fun, fun. :D

Still waiting for confirmation.
Why are you waiting for confirmation? The link that you posted has a quote from Cut saying he's staying. That's not confirmation enough?

I was waiting for Duke to put something out there. Jeesh!

Pardon me for still holding my breath that the same news organizations, perhaps not ESPN, that were reporting he was gone, were now reporting he was staying. After all the see-sawing, I wanted something from either Tennessee or Duke. And, I got it.
Excellent point. I apologize. =(( I guess you really CAN'T trust a quote from a coach anymore. It's sad, really.

Someone over yonder posted they had just moved to C'nnati so I said they should PM you and drag your arse down to some Brunchgates, err FB, games in the fall. They were gonna buy the usual 4 pack of season tix but prolly not come to but a couple games.
It was duke98 who posted. She's cool. We went to school together. She's a big supporter of Duke's athletics and would be fund to watch some games with. I don't think she's moving to Cinn until the summer though.

In other words, he's having to make a call based on loyalty to his staff. As an added bonus, TN is showing up front that they want some measure of control over his assistants. Maybe he'll remember that he's been down this particular road before and didn't like where it went. I can hope, right?

Unfortunately for us, it looks like this is going to play out more like the Roy Williams from Kansas to UNC scenario than the Coach K to the Celtics/Lakers scenario. :(( Oh, and didn't Roy cause a stink by bringing his staff from Kansas and getting rid of the UNC staff?
QFE, and quoting myself as a bonus. So glad this was how it went down!

Cool. I thought she said she had just moved. Doesn't matter though whether it is now or summer time. She can still kidnap Ymo and drag his arse down to a game or two. Heck, they could meet Lavabe somewhere in WVa and drive his butt down to WW, too. :D

And now it's officially over. Sportscenter is announcing that Tennessee has hired Dooley, former LA Tech coach.

In Cut we trust. Hmm, I like that.

Has a nice sound to it.

Kinda like, "In K we trust."

I am still highly impressed (and thankful) for his decision yesterday and the amount of emotional turmoil he and his family went through to arrive at that conclusion.

A tremendous amount of current and future implications for the program.

Almost stunning that he decided to stay.

I'm with you, devildeac. I like the article that called him the "anti-Lane Kiffin". It's great to see integrity win out in the coaching profession, and even greater that he's our coach.

Did you notice that we both expressed the same sentiment, but each of us in one of the two separate Cut to TN threads? Yet another example of great (and Crazie) minds thinking alike. So glad we were right.

You beat me to it Ozzie! I was looking around for mine to scan. Thanks. I posted on my facebook that Diogenes can relax. We've found an honest man. Might be a button like that in the works.

This idea may not seem like good sportsmanship, but it reflects my relief when Coach Cutcliffe said he was staying.

I also like the "never go away" one, especially in light of what Cut just did.
