Re: Poll Position
I can understand Gottlieb's naysaying of Duke but Katz?
Who did he rank above in 2nd and 3rd?

Re: Poll Position
IMO, ranked fifth is about right and why worry about that? Kansas just lost and the Big 12 is overrated. Duke is likely, today, the third or fourth #1 seed if everything plays out. Plus, I still expect Kyrie to play this year, which would move Duke up to 1, I think. I do know the Big East is loaded, much in the same way the ACC used to be. I think this Duke team w/out Kyrie would have a minimal of four losses if in the Big East. Just my thoughts. I don't see the ACC getting more than, at most, four bids, maybe only two. Big 12, Big 10 and Pac 10, fewer bids than expected and this may be one of those years more mid-majors get at-larges. I have no problem with that.

Re: Poll Position
I'd really have no problem going in as a two seed. Especially after "Duke was gift wrapped the bracket last year". It would be nice to shut the haters up as we advance.

Re: Poll Position
You will never, ever shut up the haters. I have not verified, but apparently there were 3 big east teams in our bracket last year. None of them advanced very far. Plus, you see what we did to WVU in the semi-finals. This year is different however.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I'd really have no problem going in as a two seed. Re: Poll Position
I don't care at all what we're ranked for now, so long as we remain within striking distance of a #1 seed.
That said, I don't think we'd be a #1 if the tournament started today. I believe we'll need to get through the rest of the regular season with no more than one additional loss, plus win the ACC tournament in order for that to happen, unless we get a bit of help from elsewhere (which could well happen).

Re: Poll Position
Tommy Amaker gets some love; Harvard has one vote in the AP. That's one more vote than most of the ACC. (FSU has 4 votes)
