Re: NCSU tix

I wish I could get up to Durham this weekend but I just can't do the trip. I'm still strongly considering the trek to the Wake game in a few weeks. Anybody planning to make that trip? Not only planning on it, but we will be there with the grill. :D Hmmm...you're speaking my language, friend. But I ...

Re: What's for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner?

I'm home early because I had a conference instead of a regular school day today. I should be cooking something with my extended afternoon free time, but instead I'm about to take a nap and I'll have leftover beef stew for dinner.

Relativity for Dummies

I've been doing a good bit of reading and thinking about quantum theories, relativity, etc., especially as they relate to space/time and the construction and nature of the universe. However, a lot of what I find online descends too quickly into jargon or becomes a circular repetition of the same stu...

Re: Bowling anyone?

Nashville might be a smidge expensive...hotels aren't the cheapest, and from my understanding, the game tickets for the Music City Bowl are pretty much the most expensive of any of our realistically possible destinations. That said, I love Nashville and would highly recommend the trip for anyone who...

Homemade Caprese pizza with kale & Brussels sprout salad for dinner. WIlson! Ya made it back as promised. I could do without the kale and BS salad. Gimme mixed greens or romaine anytime, any place. "BS salad"? I see what you did there... Amelia and I have kind of fallen in love with Brussels sprout...

It's fucking annoying that you can only vote through Facebook. I don't want to have to needlessly "like" something or grant (more) access to my personal info.

I jolted my wife out of her nap several times during the second half, then immediately started crying when we went into victory formation. Pretty much the biggest Duke football win of my lifetime. Incidentally, I was in the stands in Wally Wade for our last victory over a ranked team, vs. UVA in 1994.

Re: My Life in a Nutshell

So yeah, I got a job. Finally.
I've been working at a camp in Sapphire Valley, NC all summer, with limited interwebs access, and just as things draw near to a close, the call comes in. And my birthday's on Tuesday, to boot!
This has been the best summer of my life. More soon.
