I've decided to buy myself a new t-shirt.

Just one. As you all presumably know, there are ferskillions of t-shirts available for purchase on the interweb. This is going to be fun...could take damn near a week to pick one. I'm open to suggestions, and will post some options and solicit input as I explore.

Definitely not within the category I originally had in mind, but unassailable in its logic. Well played.

I really like it too. I think it'd be an awesome lake or mountain house. Not beach house though...no way I'm putting that thing through a hurricane.

You can also right click the link and select "Open Link in a New Tab (or in a new Window)" from the drop-down menu that appears.

What's your favorite board game?

I can't pick just one. Mine would be Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly, and Risk. Pretty mainstream, but undeniably classic choices, I think.

I didn't do a poll because I know lots of people are into all kinds of obscure games, and I'd like to hear about them.

Re: Let's settle the name of the other board once and for all...

Unfortunately, it's not just the walking on eggshells, it's that the EK Forum itself is too difficult to follow. G reportedly signs with an agent ... before I could see anything, there's 5 pages up on a thread. Can't follow it. So I go to the end, and it's posters talking about insulting each other...

Why don't we just call it the DBR? Most of us still post there, quite often in exact parallel with what we post here (Chris!). The animosity that existed that pushed the creation of this board has mostly ebbed. Let's not denigrate what is obviously our online mothership. Me or clbunchanumbers? Eith...

Re: Mother's Day - HELP

Don't get lingerie. That's like giving a gift to yourself. The trick here is to give her lingerie for your own birthday. I've done this on several occasions..."honey, I got you a present for my birthday." Every woman I've ever done this for has loved it, as it made her feel beautiful and special ev...

You should get her a BB gun for Mother's Day. She'll love you forever.

Re: LTE 2.0

ahhh, just finished my wife's mothers' day dinner. She had a friend over, so we decided to do it tonight. I grilled some finely seasoned steaks and cobs of corn, made up my cheesy bacon garlic mashed potatoes, baked some cornbread, served up her favorite sparkling apple cider (she's not a wine drin...

Re: TV Shows I Don't Get

I don't get any of the CSI shows. In case you've never seen one, here's how it works: Crime gets committed in shocking or especially violent fashion. Detectives perform cursory investigation, consuming ~20-25 minutes of airtime. Detectives extort confession. The degree of formulaic predictability is...

Re: Siblings

I have one brother, about a year & a half older than me. Like many of you and your siblings, we're really quite different in many ways. For a long time growing up, we really didn't get along that well, but that began to change in high school as our circles of friends converged more. Now, we live tog...
